Aphrodisias

The Aphrodisias archaeological excavation in Geyre, Turkey is a long-term research endeavour run through the New York University's Institute of Fine Arts and the University of Oxford. Since its beginning in 1961, the project has systematically excavated and studied features from what is one of the most important archaeological sites of the Greek and Roman periods in Turkey. As a member of the architectural team, I helped catalogue built features and site relationships. Using traditional and digital tools - including survey equipment, digital modeling software, and paper and pencil - I produced drawings and digital files that joined the site record. Finished drawing types included to-scale plan and elevation views to be used as illustrations and figures in subsequent academic essays and research goals.
